7th Annual PEEPshow Decorator Registration

The 7th Annual PEEPshow will be on view April 11 - April 21, 2014 10am – 7pm daily, including Easter Sunday


REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  March 26, 2014.  We welcome artists, community groups, businesses and anyone with a  sweet sense of artistic humor to enter the 7th Annual PEEPshow. Kids are welcome to enter – but be sure they have “engineering help” from an adult. We’ll accept dioramas, sculpture, mosaics, photography, videos & film and computer generated art that feature Peeps as their primary subject matter or artistic medium. Use Peeps to immortalize a moment in history.  Celebrate your favorite pop icon or blockbuster movie. Recreate a famous painting.  Reflect a slogan or play on words.   


The public will vote for their favorites throughout the event by purchasing vote chips. In addition, many other special artistic merit awards will be determined by the Arts Council staff and PEEPshow committee. Each registered decorator will receive 10 vote chips.  All decorators are invited to the awards ceremony on Monday, April 21 @ 6:30pm. Audience favorite awards will be announced at this event.

Restrictions

All entries must be no larger than 24 inches in any direction. Those decorators with professional engineering talents and bigger decorating budgets can request permission to submit an oversized entry by contacting [email protected] to discuss your design plan and dimensions. All decorators of over-sized entries will be personally responsible for picking them up after the event if they do not sell.

Only ONE entry per household or business, no exceptions.

Entries must be delivered to the Carroll Arts Center Saturday, April 5 10am - 4pm | Monday, April 7 10am - 4pm | Tuesday, April 8 10am - 8pm. Late and unregistered entries will not be accepted.

If you want your entry back you must pick it up from the Carroll Arts Center immediately following the awards ceremony on April 21 or from 10am to 8 pm Tuesday, April 22. Any entries not picked up will be disposed of at the CCAC's discretion. If you do not want your creation back CCAC will offer it for sale and collect all proceeds. Unsold entries will be disposed of at the CCAC's discretion.

Video entries must be no longer than 3 minutes and must be submitted fully finished by Friday, March 21 at 3 pm. Must be submitted on a DVD or a thumb-drive with an MOV file. No Exceptions. Please included director’s name and title of your film at the beginning of your video. The videos will be compiled on a single disc by the Community Media Center, please contact Eric at 410-386-4415 if you have any formatting questions.

The CCAC reserves the right to not to display your entry if it is deemed offensive, poorly constructed, or not pre-registered. By submitting your entry you agree to allow the CACC or Just Born to use your name and images of your entry in print, online publicity materials, and merchandise.
