Motown & More: A Tribute to Motown and Soul Legends offers a nostalgic musical revue by a 10 piece ensemble currently touring to sold out houses throughout the tri-state region. Classic music by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Sam Cooke, Gladys Knight & The Pips, the Temptations, The Supremes, The Jackson 5—even a few surprises, show stopping entries from Patti LaBelle, John Lennon and Patsy Cline!
This is return engagement for the good time show that literally has audiences “dancing in the street,” or at least the aisles.
Motown & More: A Tribute to Motown and Soul Legends is comprised of six musicians and four vocalists including regional favorite, recording artist, saxophonist Art Sherrod, Jr. Founded by lead vocalist Gene McBride, the band boasts additional artists with impressive resumes of service with internationally renowned funk, soul and R&B artists such as George Clinton, Patti Labelle, Robin Thicke, Pieces of a Dream, Debbie Allen, Phyllis Hyman and others. Motown & More has received standing room only and standing ovations at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (Annapolis), Buchanan Hall (Upperville, VA), Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club (Bethesda, MD) and Rams Head on Stage (Annapolis) year after year.
