ABOUT ABOUT

The Carroll County Arts Council has partnered with the City of Westminster for more than two decades to present this annual cultural festival. The event is rich in tradition and attracts a large audience. We encourage established artists as well as groups, clubs and emerging artists to participate. The day will include a children’s craft tent, an artist demonstration tent, live music on stage and a food court featuring favorite flavors from local restaurants.

The Registration deadline is May 16, 2015. If late registrations are accepted they will be subject to a $20 late fee.

Who can exhibit?

All fine art mediums are accepted including drawing, photography, fiber, collage, ceramic, metal, wood, jewelry, original books, and limited edition prints. We also accept handmade soaps, baked goods, and jams & jellies. All work sold must be the artists’ own work. No wholesale, mass produced, or buy & re-sell permitted. Artists must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Please list the names of each participating artist during the checkout process. Each participating artist must have a MD State Tax ID number.

First time registrants must submit at least 4 digital photographs representative of their work by email or disc. They will be evaluated by a qualified jury panel in order to maintain the highest standards of artistic quality. Those artists who are not accepted will receive a full refund.

Group Exhibitors: Are you part of an art club or guild? Participating as a group enables you to share the cost and staffing of your display area. Please contact the event coordinator before registering to describe your intended display.

Demonstration Tent: The tent will have electricity and a schedule will be set for 30-minute intervals. CCAC staff or volunteers will "man" your booth during that time period. If you are interested in demonstrating your art, please call the event coordinator.

Location: Art in the Park takes place on the landscaped grounds of Westminster City Hall.  The area is bordered by Locust Street, Key Street, Longwell Avenue, and Emerald Hill Lane. It is surrounded by plenty of free parking and exhibitors have easy drive-up access to many display locations. The display areas include both paved parking lots and grassy and partially wooded park lands. It is a short walking distance from downtown Westminster’s unique shops and restaurants, as well as the Carroll Arts Center.
